Strunk Medical specializes in virtual psychiatric care, including medication management and supportive psychotherapy, all delivered with a personalized, faith-based approach.
Dr. Strunk provides virtual care for adults ages 18-64 with psychiatric disorders requiring medication management. Given the nature of tele psych platforms, Dr. Strunk is unable to see patients with: psychotic or bipolar disorders, patients actively having thoughts or urges to self-harm or attempt suicide, patients with active eating disorders, active substance use disorders and any other condition or set of symptoms deemed by Dr. Strunk to require a higher level of care (in-person).
Due to increased regulatory requirements, Dr. Strunk is not able to prescribe any controlled medications such as stimulants, many insomnia medications (e.g. Ambien, Lunesta, etc) and Benzodiazepines. There are often non-controlled medication options to treat most psychiatric disorders.
Our services are tailored to female professionals, college students transitioning to living away from home, and busy moms seeking accessible, compassionate mental health care. Dr. Strunk also has extensive experience in treating active duty service members and veterans.
We currently offer cash-pay services and are in the onboarding process to become in-network with many insurances. Stay tuned! We also provide detailed invoices (superbills) for potential reimbursement for cash pay patients. Payments can be made via credit card. All payments will be handled through our portal on Headway.
Scheduling is simple and convenient through our online booking system with Headway. Click here to schedule your appointment.
Dr. Strunk’s unique background as an MD and a board-certified psychiatrist with nearly a decade of experience ensures a high level of expertise and care. Our approach combines whole-person care with faith-based principles to meet each patient’s individual needs.
You have the right to receive a “Good Faith Estimate” explaining how much your medical and mental health care will cost.
Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the expected charges for medical services, including psychotherapy services.
You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency healthcare services, including psychotherapy services.
You can ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule a service.
If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill. Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.
For questions or more information about your right to a Good Faith Estimate, visit www.cms.gov/nosurprises or call (800) 985-3059.
